On Prem only: Step 1: Installing a license for the Desktop App for MC
SaaS customers of Maintenance Connection Canada (MCC)/Asset Pro Solutions Inc. (APS) and ITIQ Pro Inc.:
If you are on one of our SaaS environments, skip to step 2. Step 1 is automatically included for you.
On Prem customers
Requirements:
- MCe 12.1.8
- Desktop App for MC license
If you are an on-prem customer, you can request a license. If you have your SMA for MC through us there is no cost for this. To get your MC SMA through us, talk to us [email protected].
When you receive the license, you go onto your server and install it like any MCe license. If you need help with this, mention that when you send your request to [email protected]
All users: Step 2: Installing the Desktop App for MC
For your first installation, either your IT department will push it to you automatically, or you (or your IT department) go here to get it: Get Desktop App For MC here
For individual machines: Download, then run the install exe, it will need admin privileges.
IT Admins may want to add it to group policy and push to all users that they are able to to avoid everyone installing it individually.
It will auto upgrade as needed.

Your IT department may have to make some firewall changes to permit the auto upgrade, specifically:

Other
Keep your SMA up to date
As long as your SMA is paid up, you will continue to have access to this at no extra charge - it is included as long as your SMA is paid up.
